Looking for a Monitor

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 26, 2008, 1:22 AM
I'm still operating from an old 19" CRT monitor for my work and after graduation I'm thinking it might be time to treat myself to something more...transportable. I need help finding a good lasting LCD/TFT widescreen monitor with good color display that won't break my budget ($400ish). I've worked on some LCDs in the past and none have been as good as my CRT *strokes my BenQ* but that was a few years ago, I figured somebody must have made something decent by now.

If anyone is knowledgeable in this area I would love some suggestions. The name samsung syncmaster came up on my searches a few times. I've been told Apple monitors are the best but they are like $1k+ so thats not possible right now. And I guess widescreen or not is not a huge deal, something 20"+ maybe.

I failed my driver's test and at the same time celebrated my 21st birthday today, what a combo. The only thing special about it is so you can drink in the states...otherwise...just another year older. Lets get hammered at the next con! I hear about people getting married and doing responsible adult stuff around this age while I still sit here watching anime, doodling and acting like a high schooler. I don't want to grow up yet.

Here's to booze, art, and hopefully a passing driving test. Cheers!

2008

Happy New Year people! Have you made your resolutions yet? It will be a hell of a busy year! Thank you to those nice people who drop by from time to time and look at my stuff and leave me little comments. It's the reason I try my hardest to put something up and update somewhat regularly... The encouragement makes me work harder.

With that said, everybody go and have a fun and productive year!

Secret Santa

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 25, 2007, 9:36 PM
Dear my secret santa~

Please draw me YOUR version of my Fay character. Fay is a girl who is actually a tropical fish living in an expensively decorated tank. Infact, I'd prefer if you DID NOT reference my version of the character and invent something from the fish version instead. (lower right corner in the example picture.) That is, I'd like to see what she would look like, what kind of clothes, personality, and style she would have, done in your version if you only had the fish version for inspiration. Of course if you just want to draw my version of the character, that is fine too. I'd prefer to see it in your style though.

And if that's not your cup of tea, please draw me anything from Gurren Lagann. Simon or Viral would be awsome, together would be

Thank you   ~

Art theft =_=

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 23, 2007, 1:29 PM
You know the story...person takes work, person distributes work, person claims work to be their own. And I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, thats the sacrifice for putting one's work online. So instead of bringing legal action into a usually minor situation(since clearly it was just a petty act) what does one suggest doing when something like this happens? I'm not really worried about it right now since all they are stealing is fanart anyway =x If it was original stuff then maybe I'd be more annoyed.

On a better note, Christmas break soon! More artstuffs to come. I joined one of those secret santa things...I'm pretty sure there's more than one going on and despite all the drama I've been hearing I just think of it as another excuse to make pretty pictures.
